Charging Your Ring & Best Practices

The NAVA Ring is charged using its dedicated charging dock and USB-C power cable, which are included in your box.

Charging Your Ring
Your NAVA Ring typically takes 10–90 minutes to fully charge, depending on the current battery level. The battery status can always be viewed in the NAVA Ring App in the upper right-hand corner of the Home tab.

To charge your ring:

  • Connect the USB-C charging cable to the NAVA charging dock.
  • Place your ring securely on the dock.
  • Plug the USB into a power source (e.g., a laptop or standard power adapter).

When charging begins, a small white LED light on the charger will blink slowly. Once charging is complete, the light will remain solid white. You’ll also receive a push notification from the NAVA Ring App when your ring is fully charged.

Troubleshooting
If your ring isn’t charging, please try the following steps:

  • Make sure the ring is properly aligned on the size-specific dock. If connected correctly, the indicator light on the charger will appear.
  • Try using a different USB-C charging cable.
  • Remove and reinsert the USB-C cable, rotating it 180° before reconnecting.
  • Test with a different power adapter or USB source

Best Practices

Best Times to Charge Your Ring
We recommend keeping your charging cable handy — in your bag, car, or at your desk. Because the dock connects quickly to laptops and power adapters, it’s easy to charge while you’re working, cooking, browsing the internet, or doing household tasks. Try to keep your battery above 30%, if possible.

Enable Low Battery Notifications
In the NAVA Ring App, you can enable battery notifications so you’ll be reminded before bed if your ring is running low.

To enable:

  • Open the Settings tab.
  • Tap Settings > Notifications > Battery Level.

Ensure Your Ring is Charged Before Bed
For the best insights, make sure your NAVA Ring has at least 30% battery before bedtime.

If the battery falls below this threshold, you may miss out on key sleep insights — such as Sleep Score, Readiness Score, sleep stage breakdown, HRV, resting heart rate, and respiratory rate.

Tip: building a habit of charging briefly during the day ensures you never miss a night of sleep tracking.

Things to Keep in Mind

What to Expect from Your NAVA Ring Battery
On a full charge, your NAVA Ring battery will generally last 4–7 days. This may vary based on factors such as:

  • The age of your ring.
  • How often you use real-time features like Live Heart Rate.
  • Whether you log naps throughout the day.

Like all rechargeable batteries, the NAVA Ring battery is a consumable and will gradually lose capacity and performance over time.

Prevent Battery Damage
To preserve battery health, avoid:

  • Keeping your ring on the charger for more than one week at a time.
  • Extended exposure to extreme heat or freezing cold.
  • Allowing the battery to drain completely to 0%.
  • Using power sources that don’t comply with safety standards.

The charging dock is designed to be supplied by an external 5Vdc source that complies with IEC 62368-1. The power input should not exceed 15W after 3 seconds.

Taking a Long Break from Wearing Your Ring?
If you plan to stop wearing your ring for a while, switch it to Power Saving Mode before storage. This helps protect the battery capacity and ensures the ring is ready for use when you return.
